Campbell's Labels for Education

Campbell's Labels for Education Do you have a Safeway Club Card? Register your card at www.eLabelsForEducation.com to earn more points for our school. The points are in addition to the actual label on the product, it earns us double points every time you buy participating products. We earn points more quickly and can use them to buy supplies/equipment for the school. Ask family members to register their card as well.
Safety Patrol Student Volunteer

Safety Patrol Student Volunteer We are looking for more Safety Patrol Student Volunteers! If you are a 5th or 6th grader, willing to be at school at 7:55am, we need you. If you choose to take on this important task, you will be required to wear a beautiful orange vest and a smile. Bring your helpful self to the office to suit up, team up and greet students when opening car doors. The job ends at 8:10 am. You will be considered fantastic and certainly not tardy. Come in to the office for signing up. You must have your parent's permission first. Please contact Renae Howell at rhowell@rafos.org.
Vision and Hearing Screening

Vision and Hearing Screening Vision and hearing screening will begin in November. According to California Education Law, students in selected grades are screened annually for distance and near vision acuity, hyperopia, color perception and hearing. Kinders are screened for both hearing and vision. Second and fifth grades are screened for hearing. Third and sixth grades are screened for vision. The School Nurse will notify parents if any concern is noted. Private screening in lieu of screening by the school nurse is acceptable. Results should be documented by the student's MD and presented to the school office for documentation in the student's health file. Parental written refusal of school screening should be submitted to school office prior to the date of screening.

Afterschool Safety Precautions

Afterschool Safety Precautions To help keep our school pick-up running smoothly and to keep everyone safe, please follow the following safety precautions:
1. Do not arrive before 3:00. Rocklin Elementary's dismissal is at 2:55, and we need to help keep the pick-up area clear until after 3:00.
2. If there is a line of cars on Meyers St.waiting to pull into the school parking lot, please pull over as far as possible to the right, without blocking any driveways. This way, traffic driving past will not cross over the double yellow lines and the risk of accidents will be reduced.
3. Never block the sidewalk when pulling into the parking lot. A clear path needs to be kept for pedestrians.
