My name is Diana Wilson and I am the 6th grade teacher for Rocklin Academy Meyers for the 2018-2019 school year.
My husband, Chris and I have lived in Rocklin for the past twenty-one years. We have three children: Sabrina (22), Stewart (20), and Aaron (18). All of our children are graduates from Rocklin Academy. I feel very fortunate to work for the Rocklin Academy Family of Schools, as I fully embrace and support the Core Knowledge curriculum both as a parent and as an educator.
My family and I enjoy the boating season in the summer. We love to camp and hike as well. Photography is a hobby of mine, and you may see me often with my camera taking pictures of special events around campus. I also enjoy documenting family trips, sporting events, and scenery pictures using my camera.
This is my thirteenth year at Rocklin Academy. I have spent the past three years as an assistant principal at Rocklin Academy Gateway. Before going into administration three years ago, I had taught fourth grade for five years. For the first four years with Rocklin Academy I taught kindergarten, first at Turnstone then as the founding teacher at the Meyers Street campus. I also have teaching experience in 1st and 3rd grade, and I have been a substitute teacher for multiple districts from grades kindergarten through 8th grade. Prior to being a classroom teacher for Rocklin Academy, I also taught PE to all grade levels during the 2004-2005 school year. Prior to entering education, I was a small business owner as well as a marketing coordinator for a public accounting firm.
I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Business Management in 2005. I earned my teaching credential from Chapman University in 2006. My credential is a multiple subjects teaching credential with an emphasis in teaching English language learners. I hold a master’s degree in education with a focus in teaching and learning, as well as my administrative credential.
I love working at the Meyers campus as the 6th grade teacher for the 2018-2019 school year!
