Welcome to Rocklin Academy!  My name is Trisha Smith and I am excited and honored to be the Site Administrator for Rocklin Academy at Meyers.  I look forward to embarking on a new adventure with the Rocklin Academy Meyers community and I have a passion for what the Rocklin Academy Family of Schools stands for.  The values and the curriculum that our school provides is top-notch and I am proud of the staff, students and families at Rocklin Academy.  Through a collective voice and purposeful actions, we support student growth in academics, character, and as lifelong learners.  What could be better than that?  In my opinion, nothing else compares and that is why I am thrilled to be sharing my love of education with the Rocklin Academy Meyers campus!

My love of education started with my undergraduate work at U.C. San Diego where I received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a component of my study focusing on elementary education.  Shortly after, I received my Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and Masters in Educational Leadership from the Dominican University in San Rafael, CA (my hometown!).  After ten years teaching in the Bay Area and abroad in England, I found myself returning to family and was delighted to find an extended family through Rocklin Academy.  Since 2011, I have been a classroom teacher, lead teacher, mentor, and working closely with administration to cultivate a positive learning environment. I hope to bring that positivity to Rocklin Academy Meyers and extend my RA family even more!

I am a mother of two beautiful children.  My daughter is entering high school and has a passion for the theater arts.  She has an angelic voice and fills our home with song and dance at all hours of the day!  My son attends the Rocklin Academy Gateway campus and we are often out in the community cheering him on through all his athletic interests. We have a symbiotic relationship where they support my passion in education while I support their personal interests as well.  We enjoy planting our roots in all the communities in Placer County  and continue to explore the beauty that it has to offer.

Again, I am honored and excited to work with the families at Meyers.  I have heard wonderful things about the level of support offered within this community. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and activate the potential we all have collectively to make Meyers the best!
