On Friday, February 14th, the Sons of the American Revolution came to visit 4th grade. They came in period attire and explained in more depth the events that happened with the Boston Massacre. They brought in actual items that would have been used at that time like: a cannon ball, a bayonet, a water bottle, a wooden trunk, and a powder horn. We were also given a wonderful opportunity to enter into a nation-wide poster contest. Each classroom entered will have three winners. The winners’ posters will move onto the next level of the contest. If a county winner is from our school, their poster will be displayed in Philadelphia for the next year. This is so exciting for our class, and they had a wonderful time participating in a living history experience.
