Hi, my name is Annie Peck and I am thrilled to be a member of the Rocklin Academy team of educators for a fourth year. I feel very fortunate to be part of a school that embodies my own belief that all students can learn and achieve at high levels and am excited to work with new students, parents, and staff this upcoming year.
I received my B.S. in Human Resource Management from Utah State University and later fell in love with teaching and earned a Masters Degree and multiple subject teaching credential through University of Phoenix in 2007. For the past 10 years I have taught first, second, and third grade, acquired International Baccalaureate experience, and have worked with students of all ages in a variety of educational settings. It is deeply satisfying to work in a field I am truly passionate about.
I currently live in Loomis with my husband Brian of 30 years, our 21 year old son Avery, and our pet cat Larry. We have lived in the Sacramento region for 29 years and have been in Loomis for the last 14 years. We love Loomis and all that it and the surrounding area has to offer including jogging and hiking trails, cycling, camping, and golf.
As we approach the 2017-2018 school year, I look forward to building strong relationships with families and hope to inspire students to develop a love of learning and to reach their fullest potential. As the quote from William Butler Yeats says, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” Here’s to a successful and exciting year!
